Radio Life

Being from music city and all, there are tons of different radio stations competing to be on top. From country to rock n' roll Nashville has a broad selection of diverse stations.

A list of some of the more popular stations in Nashville are....
-95.5 WSM FM. This radio station plays country music from "the 90s to now" and is also called "Americas Radio Station"
-88.7 Way FM. This station is a Christian Hit Radio which offers top christian music of the day and much more. Has links to much more Christian related resources.
-100.1 WRLT aka "Lightning 100". This is Nashville's alternative adult radio featuring Contemporary adult and folk plus much more.
-107.5 The River which is Nashville's popular choice featuring Rap, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, and much more.

There are many more stations around the Nashville area but those are the general ones. 107.5 always has booths set up during music events around the city. I have seen all types of radio stations but there surprisingly is a lot of diversity in the music business. People just seem to think its only country because that is what Nashville is known for.

There are applications like Pandora, Spotify, and 8 Tracks that have semi taken over the radio industry. There is something called iHeart Radio which is an internet radio platform owned by iHeart Media Inc. You can create your own radio stations and pick from 15 million free songs or tune into thousands of shows as well. The ironic thing about iHeart radio is that 107.5 always advertises for them.

Online radios and applications are a great idea for alternatively listening to music. You can be anywhere and still be able to catch up with your favorite radio station.
